Creating a Separate Living Space Without Losing the Home

This project involved making some important changes to the layout of the home. We framed and added an interior door, removed an exterior window and adjusted the framing to accommodate a sliding glass door, and added blown-in insulation to the interior walls.

The goal was to create a space the homeowner could use as an Airbnb while still keeping the main house feeling like home.

A project like this takes more than simply adding a door, it means thinking through how the changes work together.
